This crab pattern is tied with soft legs for extra tantalizing motion, and designed to land relatively softly and sink moderately fast. It fishes best in locations where a suspended fly excels like Belize and Cuba. This is one of our favorite saltwater flies for bonefish, small permit, and other flats fish. It is small and lands softly, and it has a range of appealing crustacean characteristics. Can also be used it to catch tide-water kings and as a very effective follow-up fly when swing fishing for steelhead. It's like a wiggly little muddler but different.
