RIO's Checkmate Blue & Chartreuse #1

RIO’s Checkmate is a 4" long fly designed specifically for Kings/Chinooks; The fly sinks well, has great movement and  invokes hard, positive strikes  The colors offered attract fish depending on where they are in the river. For example, chartreuse is an excellent choice when you are closer to the salt and going after the freshest fish, but you’ll want to use the other colors when targeting fish further up the system, or that have been in the water longer.  Steelhead and Silvers equally find this an irresistible pattern.  The fly ends with a #1 Stinger hook and RIO’s 44lb SlickShooter to ensure excellent strength when connected to your prized fish. 

Note: This is a great fly pattern for a variety of applications, although it was originally designed for King / Chinook Salmon and Steelhead. Most other predatory fish will go after this fly. Available in multiple color options.
