This is a growing category of fly rods, the hot field of inexpensive / reasonably priced rods for saltwater fly fishing. TFO has long dominated this field, and for good reason. Redington's offerings have somewhat lagged behind. We'll see how the new Predator SALT series stacks up soon.
*We have a ton of customers to help at the shop so we haven't had time to fully evaluate these rods yet, but we will continue to update this review as always once we test it. For now it's worth it to consider the proven performance of the TFO Blitz and TFO Mangrove Coast as well as the Orvis Clearwater saltwater rods as the closest competitors to this new rod series. As soon as we have more time to conduct a thorough test we will post the results here.
