RIO’s new Tapered Tarpon Leader has been designed for the ultimate in performance when tarpon fishing. Most tarpon leaders are level with a shock tippet (fluoro) on the front end. RIO’s Tapered Tarpon Leader has a fully tapered leader running down to the shock tippet, which gives far better turnover and presentation than level ones. The leaders ends with a 2ft length of shock tippet for protection.

*Note that in the options, the first number in "30/80" for example is the main leader monofilament rating and the second number is just the fluorocarbon bite tippet also called "shock tippet"
